The 2023 football season for the Perry Bluejays is set to kick off on this upcoming Friday, August 25th against Des Moines Hoover. I am going to continue my preview of each position group. Today I will be looking at the running back position and how the running back room will stack up for the Bluejays this year. Keegan Snyder and Juan Hernandez were the two top rushers for the Bluejays a season ago. With Juan Hernandez graduating, the main workhorse for the Bluejays in the backfield this season will be Keegan Snyder.

Snyder on the 2022 season for Perry had 65 carries for 235 yards and he averaged 3.6 yards per carry. He will look to carry this momentum forward going into this upcoming season. Other guys that you can potentially see make appearances in the backfield for the Bluejays include Holden Smith, Drake Levan, Egan Leber, Caden Heck, Geren Kenney, and Gavin Hegstrom. These are all guys that touched the ball and registered stats for Perry a season ago. Stay tuned for tommorow when I finish my recap of offensive position groups as well as recap players on the defensive side of the ball for Perry right here on KDLS and raccoonvalleyradio.com
