More results for Guthrie County 4-Hers have come in since the end of the Iowa State Fair.
The 4-H’ers that showed swine and earned a purple ribbon include Tessa Slaybaugh in Duroc Breeding Swine with a second place finish, Blake Ganzer for Spotted Breeding Swine, Blake Hodges for Duroc Market Swine and Gracie Hodges for her second place finish in Crossbred Market Barrows Market Swine. There were 16 blue ribbons awarded altogether as well.
Guthrie County Fair Queen Kiersten Knobbe was also awarded the 2023 Alumni Award, which is voted on by past Iowa State Fair Queens in remembrance of a queen that was lost too soon, and is given to who they believe shows great leadership, innovative thinking and that goes above and beyond in problem solving.
