Colder weather is around the corner, and the Dallas County Extension Office will look at preserving foods.
Iowa State University Extension and Dallas County Extension and Outreach is offering an in-person workshop to help prepare people for preserving their own different kinds of foods. The “Preserving the Taste of Summer: Salsa Making” class will instruct on canning, freezing and drying foods and give up-to-date resources.
The free course will be from 5 to 9pm on August 30th at the Extension Office on the Dallas County Fairgrounds. While the course is free to attend, registration is required.
