All three counties in the Raccoon Valley Radio area saw some slight changes to unemployment in July.

According to Iowa Workforce Development, Dallas County had a slight increase in unemployment from June to July of 0.1-percent to 2.4-percent. Guthrie County saw a 0.2-percent decrease in unemployment from June to July to 2.9-percent, while Greene County reported a 0.2-percent drop in the percentage of individuals without a job from June to July to 2.8-percent. 

Statewide, the unemployment rate remained the same for a fourth consecutive month at 2.7-percent in July. The national unemployment rate for July was 3.5-percent.
