The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School District has a bundle of new teachers entering their district this year.
Superintendent Greg Dufoe says they have 29 new teachers and one new administrator this year. Dufoe explains this is the biggest crop of teachers he has welcomed since he has been the superintendent. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that it’s valuable for the district to attract high quality teachers.
“It seems to be a very, very talented group who’s passionate. Not all of them are first year teachers. We have a mixed bag. So we’re able to recruit and and and get teachers that are not only new to the profession, but also teachers that have experience in other districts who have also chosen to come here. So, you know, Logan, that’s super important for us to be able to attract quality teachers, and we’re pleased that we’ve been able to continue to do so.”
Dufoe says the new administrator is Liz Anderson who will be a shared principal between Meadow View and Adel Elementary Schools.
