The Newton Cardinals spoil Dallas Center-Grimes’ senior night on a football Friday night in Grimes.

The Mustangs got up early on the Newton Cardinals with a 32 yard field goal from Dylan Lackland, but that would be the only points Dallas Center-Grimes would score. Newton would score 20 unanswered points from two rushing touchdowns from their quarterback Caleb Mattes and one touchdown from Eli Stewart. The final score was 20 to 3. The Mustangs are now (0-2) in the early season and will have Fort Dodge coming to Grimes next week.
