Both the boys and girls West Central Valley Cross Country teams had their first official meet of the season this past Thursday in the Wildcat classic. The girls and boys both finished in 5th overall place in their home meet. On the boys side of things, Senior Cael Hazen was the top runner to finish for West Central Valley with a time of 22:01:51 as he finished in 28th place overall. Freshman Cadyn Guisinger was the next guy in line for the Wildcats as he finished with a time of 24:43:79 and 50th place.

For the girls, Taitlin Koch finished in 2nd overall place for West Central Valley as she finished with a time of 23:32:29. Dallas Morgan was the next gal in line for the Wildcats as she finished in 15th place with a time of 27:40:53.

It was a good first meet for both the boys and girls XC teams for West Central Valley. Both the girls and boys will participate in the rescheduled Southeast Valley Cross Country Invite at Gowrie Municipal golf course on this upcoming Tuesday, September 5th. The Southeast Invitational was cancelled back a week ago due to extreme heat. I will provide updates like always following the meet right here on K 107.9 and on our website raccoonvalleyradio.com.
