The Perry Public Library is excited about a new program coming up.

The event is called “Tween Night,” which will take place from 4 to 5pm tomorrow at the library for ages eight to 12 years old. Youth Services Librarian Laura Pieper will have a craft for anyone interested along with their Maker Space Cart available for use, board games and video games will be open to utilize and their Beam Projector will be free to play with. Pieper explains what the Beam Projector does.

“Basically it is a beam that projects down from the ceiling in our community room and projects 100 different games onto the floor of our community room. And it could be anything from just kicking some balls around on the floor. Projected balls. You can play a fast feet game. Some of the kids already know. They know the games by heart. There’s some zombie games where you just stomp out the zombies. You can catch mice, you can just pop bubbles, balloons. There’s games for all different ages in there.”

The event is free with no registration required.
