
The ADM Tigers cross country teams participated in the “Pella Dutch XC Invite”, which was held at the Central College cross country course over the weekend. The meet featured both men’s and women’s divisions.
In the men’s division, the ADM Tigers secured the 4th place spot. The top three positions were claimed by Pella, Winterset, and Glenwood. Torin Timmerman was the standout runner for the ADM men’s team, placing 7th overall and completing the race in 16 minutes and 56 seconds. The men’s team totaled 121 points with seven runners participating.
For the women’s team, they finished in 3rd place with a total of 81 points. The top two positions in the women’s division were taken by Pella and Mid-Prairie. Freshman Allie Eggleston led the ADM women’s team, completing the race in 21 minutes and 13 seconds. Cora Shirley-Brown and Paige Mattes also had strong performances. All following runners secured 9th, 12th, and 13th place finishes.
The ADM Tigers are now preparing for their next meet, which is scheduled for September 15th at the “Ballard Invitational Cross Country Meet”. This event will be hosted at the Ballard golf and cross club. It presents another opportunity for both the men’s and women’s teams to showcase their abilities in the ongoing cross country season.
