The Dallas County Attorney’s Office is looking at expanding by adding more positions.

Dallas County Attorney Jeannine Ritchie says they currently have eight full time assistant attorneys and next year they would like to add another attorney and one additional staff person. She notes that they are seeing the growth in the county and that is leading to more cases being filed.

It is exciting. We’re seeing this growth that probably everybody said was going to happen. And I think the pandemic slowed a lot of things down, but it’s really picked up since then.”

Ritchie also adds that once the administrative building is finished, that it will free up more space in the courthouse for them to  work.
