Friday, September 8th

7:32am: A caller advised of a male in a black car, yelling at women in the 600 Block of West Lincoln Way Street. The officers did not locate the reported vehicle, but identified the driver.

9:49am: A caller advised of subjects attempting to gain entry into a residence in the 300 Block of East Madison Street. No damage occurred and the subjects had left before the officer’s arrival.

11:00am: A subject brought a Stray Dog to the Jail he had located near Chestnut and Monroe Streets. The officers placed the dog into the Animal Holding Facility.

11:09am: Betty Kuebler reported numerous calls to her cell phone, looking for “Ashley.” She had told the caller she is not Ashley, but the calls continued. The officer is assisting her with the issue.

12:56pm: Sara Valentine reported a Careless Driver on 220th Street, that turned onto North Grimmell Road. The officers located the vehicle and followed it for several blocks. The vehicle stopped in the 300 Block of North Olive Street. The officers spoke to the subject about the issues.

9:18pm: A Traffic Stop near Elm and Clark Streets resulted in Zachary Frank of Griswold being cited for, “Driving While Suspended.”

11:00pm: A Traffic Stop near Elm and Clark Streets resulted in Eli Schroeder of Scranton being cited for, Violation of School Permit.”

Saturday, September 9th

12:33am: Luke Winkelman reported a female he is watching, has dementia and fled from the house in the 600 Block of South Oak Street. The officer assisted Winkleman in getting the subject back in the residence.

1:49am: Jason Smith reported flashing lights at the school located at 1901 North Grimmell Road. The officer responded to the Alarm Activation and found nothing out of the ordinary. A key holder was contacted to re-set the system.

7:10am: An officer located an Open Overhead Door at 504 East Lincoln Way Street. The owner advised he had left the door open to air the building out.

7:31am: Michael Spaulding requested officers near Park and Vine Streets. He reported he was assaulted by a known male in the area. He advised the subject struck him in the face a few times and left the area. He named the subject and pointed his house out to officers. The officers spoke to several witnesses in Russell Park, who advised they witnessed the event occur as Spaulding had advised. The officer went to 501 South Chestnut Street and arrested Royce Christoher Gonnelly, 32 of Jefferson for, “Harassment 1st Degree – Aggravated, Assault Causing Bodily Injury – Serious, and Driving While Revoked – Serious.” The GC Ambulance was called to check out Spaulding’s injuries.

8:12am: Magenta Pedersen reported an overnight Burglary to her garage at 704 North Chestnut Street. Suspect(s) had broken a padlock off of a walk door to the garage. Nothing was reported missing from the garage. The officer is investigating.

1:57pm: Mike Kurtz reported a Lost/Stolen wallet. He believed he may have lost it near the fuel pumps at 606 Hwy. 30 East. The wallet had not been turned into the business.

4:18pm: A caller reported an Open Burn in the 1200 Block of Rushridge Road. The officer located the burn and spoke to the owner, who was unaware of the current Burn Ban.

6:07pm: Tickcha Jaimes reported a male had gone through her mailbox at 104 North Cedar Street. She reported the subject was walking west on Lincoln Way Street. The officers located the subject and spoke to him. He denied being near the mailbox. The homeowner is looking through camera footage at her residence to gather evidence.

6:45pm: A caller advised of an Open Burn at 307 Edgewood Avenue. The officers spoke to the subject, who was unaware of the current Burn Ban. The officer explained what can and can not be burned after the ban is lifted.

7:08pm: A caller reported a vehicle illegally parked near Russell and Vine Streets. The officer issued a Parking Violation Notice for, “Parked Between the Lot Line and Curb Line.”

7:15pm: A caller advised of a vehicle with Loud Music playing near Pinet and Harrison Streets. The officer spoke to the subject, who turned the music down.

8:36pm: Kyann Brown reported a vehicle had thrown trash out the window into her driveway at 1003 West Wall Street.

9:16pm: Suesitta Schmitt reported a Careless Driver on 220th Street, near Grimmell Road. The officer later located the vehicle parked, with no one inside.

9:44pm: Tim Hegstrom reported a parking issue at 777 Wild Rose Lane. The officer advised him that it was private property and the casino would need to call about the issue.

Sunday, September 10th

1:42am: Jason Everist reported his juvenile son had not come home at 2300 hrs. He was unable to get him to answer his phone, but believed he was at his girlfriend’s house. The officer located a number for the girlfriend and spoke to the juvenile male. He had fallen asleep and headed home.

7:32am: Ramona Matthews requested a Welfare Check on a female at 1000 West Adams Street. The officers spoke to the subject, who was fine.

12:25pm: Dalton Weber advised of a possible No Contact Order Violation. The officer learned it occurred in Scranton and passed the information to a deputy to investigate.

2:13pm: Officers investigated a Backing Accident in the 300 Block of West Washington Street. A 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, owned by Brian Mobley and operated by Britleigh Hamann of Jefferson was eastbound on West Washington Street. Hamann stopped at the posted stop sign at Washington and Elm Streets. She advised she felt she was too far passed the stop sign and backed up. She struck the front end of a vehicle behind her at the stop. The 2009 Chevrolet Impala was owned by Robert Egland of Jefferson and operated by Allison Platte of Waukee. The Hamann vehicle had a reported $50.00 in damages, while the Platte vehicle suffered a reported $500.00 in damages. Hamann was issued a citation for, “Unsafe Backing.”

5:30pm: A dog was reported running near Cedar and Lincoln Way Streets. The officer did not locate the animal.

5:47pm: A caller advised of a Stray Dog near Locust and Garfield Streets. The officer did not locate the reported animal.
