Dallas Center-Grimes got their first win in week 3 of the high school football season and we dive into the numbers.

The Mustangs beat the Fort Dodge Dodgers by a score of 35 to 0. The offense totaled 360 yards that includes 233 passing yards and 127 rushing yards. Senior Ty Mikkelsen passed for all 233 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. Senior running back Eli Carpenter ran for 116 yards on the ground and one touchdown while senior tight end Dayne Mauk led the team in receiving yards with 107 and three touchdowns. Mauk also led the team in tackles with 10 and both seniors Brandon Bailiff and Carpenter had a tackle for loss. Junior Tate Perrin had two interceptions while senior Jimmy Seeman had one, and Bailiff tailed a fumble recovery.

Dallas Center-Grimes will be back on the gridiron on the road at Ballard on Friday. That game will be broadcasted on KDLS-2 located on Raccoon Valley Radio.com
