The undefeated Perry Jayettes will be back in the pool tonight at the McCreary Community Center in Perry battling with the Algona Bulldogs. Perry won their meet last Thursday against the Indianola Indians 83-77 that moved them to 7-0 on the season, keeping their red hot start to the year alive. Perry will face an Algona team tonight whom which they have already beat twice on the year in head to head meets. They won in their season opening meet against Algona 105-59 on August 24th. They also defeated the Bulldogs in the Boone/Algona meet on September 5th. I spoke with head coach Jean Dowd about how the girls support with one another in the pool has led them to this 7-0 start going into their meet tonight.

“They’ve done remarkable at setting some goal times. They’ve been so supportive of each other in the water. I think that’s one benefit of this team is that they support other team members in the water, and that could be a great benefit,” Dowd said.

The meet will begin tonight at 6:30 at the McCreary Community Building in Perry. I will provide results after the meet right here on KDLS and raccoonvalleyradio.com.
