The Adel Public Library will host a virtual history lesson this week.

Patron Services Manager Amy Puck says that people can come by the library’s community room from noon to 1pm tomorrow to grab a computer and learn about the state of Iowa. Puck says that the Iowa History: Letters from the Farmhouse will be a 60 minute online learning program for adults to get more educated on ways women in farming communities used print and media to support each other during world war one. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that this is another way they bring a different voice into their building.

“Everybody got a little tired of online learning shortly after Covid. And so we took a break from this type of programming and decided to start it back up because it gives us more opportunities to have people do presentations who may not be local to the area.”

The event is free and open to the public. For more information contact the Adel Public Library.
