Tuesday, September 12th

7:47am: A Traffic Stop near Elm and Sunset resulted in Julie Derry of Grand Junction being cited for, “Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”

8:45am: Mark Cranston reported ashes falling on his garage at 600 South Cedar Street. The officer located a burn occurring at 507 South Olive Street. No one was home at the residence. The officer is working to follow up with the subject about the Burn Ban being in effect.

9:02am: Ashley Adams reported a possible injured dog in the 100 Block of North Wilson Ave. The officer took the animal to Fairview Vet Clinic, who recognized the animal. The owner was contacted to come to pick up the animal.

6:05pm: Jan Black reported a fire hydrant in the 700 block of South Maple Street has a hose and wrench on it. She did not want kids to mess with it. The officer had knowledge of the Public Works setting hydrants up like this for the street sweeper.

6:09pm: An officer responded to 300 American Avenue for an Alarm Activation. The officer met a keyholder at the facility. There were no issues and the alarm was re-set.

6:48pm: An officer located an Open Overhead Door at 1801 North Elm. The officer secured the business.

10:09pm: The Wild Rose Casino requested an officer at 777 Wild Rose Lane for a Backing Accident. The subject returned to his vehicle to find damage. The subject did not wish for a report, or investigation to be made. The officer took no action.
