The Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is preparing for another round of pesticide applicator trainings.

Program Director Meghan McBride says that while the first trainings are next month, sign up for them is ongoing, and encouraged.

“Space is limited for all of these trainings, so at least one day prior to pre-register would be important. And you can do that by calling the office, or emailing us at xguthrie@iastate.edu. If you don’t pre-register and if you just show up, we do have a $10 late fee. And we will not be scheduling reshows after December 15th.”

McBride mentions that the first training is for roadside, forest and aquatic pest management, and will take place on October 18th from 9am-11:30am. All following trainings will also be from 9-11:30am, and cost $45 to register. A full list of the trainings can be found on the Guthrie County Extension’s Facebook Page.
