An annual event is happening today at the Greene County Fairgrounds in Jefferson.

The Red Barn Home and Craft Show is from 9am-5pm at Clover Hall. There are over 40 vendors with a variety of homemade and produced items. There will be lots of fall and winter decor and other items for people to shop for. Jefferson Matters Executive Director Matt Wetrich invites everyone to check that out and he adds it means more when you buy something from someone in person in this kind of setting instead of a big box store.

“You can go and buy something that somebody made and see their face when you buy it from them. (It’s) going out on the fairgrounds as well, so stop out and see that.”

Additionally, the Jefferson BPO Does will be serving food throughout the day as part of their fundraiser. Member Tammy Smith talks about their fundraising efforts in general.

“The Does do a lot of fundraising and we give it back into the community for things that are needed in the community. We support a lot of different functions that they need.”

There is no admission charge to enter the fairgrounds.
