A fundraiser is coming back after a few years hiatus for one non-profit organization in Jefferson.
The Greene County Medical Center Auxiliary is hosting the Salad Luncheon on Tuesday from 11am-1pm at the Jefferson Elks Lodge. GCMC Auxiliary President Sue Rieder tells Raccoon Valley Radio this is the first time they brought this fundraiser back since the COVID pandemic and it was a well attended event in the past because it included different groups of people with various ages.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward supplemental purchases for the medical center. Rieder says some of the recent purchases the Auxiliary has made includes a $6,000 donation toward a 12,000 bladder scanner for acute care, emergency and urology, a cable weight and rowing machine for the cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation for $1,750, three $1,000 scholarships, free coffee for everyone in the cafeteria and free pizza for employees during Customer Appreciation Week.
Tickets are $8 each and can be purchased by any Auxiliary member or at the Auxiliary Gift Garden at the medical center from 10am-3pm Tuesdays through Thursdays.
