The public is invited to a fundraiser for several community organizations in Greene County.

The Greene County Youth Athletic Association (GCYAA) is hosting its “A Night Under the Lights” Football Scrimmage Fundraiser on Sunday at Linduska Field in Jefferson. The event includes the mini cheerleaders from the Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department and the Greene County High School Cheerleaders to perform at 6:15pm, followed by the 26 third and fourth grade flag football program at 6:30pm and the 22 5th and 6th grade tackle football game. 

GCYAA President Travis Warnke tells Raccoon Valley Radio that even though the mini cheerleaders are not with their organization, they still wanted to include them because they are a big part of the overall cheer program. 

Gates will open at 5:30pm and a free will donation, with a suggested price of $7, will be served starting at 6pm with burgers, chips and a beverage. There will also be over 25 baked items for purchase at the bake sale and a 50/50 cash raffle. Tickets for the raffle are $5 per ticket or $20 for five tickets. Proceeds from the event will go back to GCYAA and the Greene County High School football and cheerleading programs.
