Reaghan Oakleaf
Springbrook State Park has a newer face on their roster.
Iowa Department of Natural Resources Natural Resource Tech 1 Reaghan Oakleaf has been working at the park since this past May, and has been enjoying her job at the park. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio what got her interested in working with the DNR.
“It’s just overall something I’ve dreamt about since getting all those fun experiences like kayaking and fishing. And I actually came out to the Springbrook Education Center when I was in elementary to middle school. So all those field trips definitely influenced where I am at today.”
Oakleaf says that she enjoys being able to help DNR Interpretive Naturalist/Educator Anne Riordan, but that her job mainly entails campground and park maintenance, along with camper registration. She says that this means that if there’s anything that happens at the campground, she is usually the first to be on site to see what she can do to help.
