Hastings Funeral Home in Perry is in charge of arrangements for Roy Irvin Essing, 89, of Rural
Perry. Visitation will
be held from1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2023 with family present from
4:00 – 6:00 at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry. On Friday another visitation will be held from
10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at the Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church in
Perry. Burial will take place at the Violet Hill Cemetery. Roy is survived by his son Bret
(Tammy)Essing, daughters Sherri (Pete) Aiken and Lori (Jamie) Eiteman; grandsons
Jeremy (Yvonne), Josh (Haley), Joel (Lynnette) Lawton; granddaughters Miranda and
Samantha Essing; great grandsons Clayton, Justin, Justus, Trenton, Jacob, Nathaniel,
Parker, Emmett, and Brentley Lawton, great granddaughter Addilyn Lawton, great great-
granddaughter Nova, great great-grandson Knoxton, sister Juanita Hanson, sisters-in-
law Beverly Essing and Susan Kleen, aunt Dorothy Huston, friend Mary Lou Runke, and
