Tomorrow will be the return of a periodic program by some of the Greene County High School students on the Raccoon Valley Radio Network.

Students in the Communications Class that is taught by Kirsten Carman and exposees them to several other kinds of media, including writing articles for the school’s newsletter and delivering those stories on the radio. Senior Noah Hinote talks about what he enjoys the most about this class.

“Well it’s a lot of fun. We do a lot of different things involved with newspaper and yearbook, and all of that good stuff. Take a lot of pictures of dress up days for homecoming and yeah, it’s just a lot of fun.”

Hinote adds this class is important because it allows the public to be informed about what is happening in the high school and across the school district. Senior Hallie Monthei describes why she thinks the communications class is important for students.

“I think it’s important as some of our students in our class want to do this as a future career or are interested in doing this in college. So this gets everyone more comfortable with it and talking to other people in our community, but also other students in our school.”

The program airs tomorrow at 6:20am and 4:20pm on KGRA 98.9FM. You can also listen to the program through the free KGRA mobile app with any smart device.
