The official stats have been released from (3-3) Dallas Center-Grimes’ win over Norwalk in week six of the high school football season on Friday.

The Mustangs defeated the Warriors in a final score of 17-7. On offense the Mustangs put up 208 total yards of offense on 151 yards rushing and 57 yards passing. Senior running back Eli Carpenter rushed for 151 yards on 35 attempts. Carpenter has reached that 100 yard mark in his last four games. Senoir Quarterback Ty Mikkelsen passed eight times and completed four passes for 57 yards. His favorite target was senior tight end Dayne Mauk who caught 2 passes for 29 yards.

The defense was outstanding for the Mustangs. Senior Jimmy Seeman led the team in tackles with eight along with seven solo tackles. Junior Tate Perrin had three interceptions, junior Taitn Gray and senior Aiden Charlson both picked up a fumble. Senior Cole Kestel had a tackle for a loss. As a defense they limited Norwalk in their high power passing attack to just 208 yards in the win.

Now Dallas Center-Grimes will have to turn the page and play Glenwood on the road this Friday. That game will be broadcasted on our KDLS-2 mobile stream.
