The Mary J Barnett Memorial Library is continuing its Lunch and Learn program series.

Library Director Jerri Hawkins tells Raccoon Valley Radio that they’ve had some great success with previous events, and that she’s looking forward to this month’s speaker.

“We have Lisa Calvert, the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) from Guthrie Center here. She’s going to be providing the lunch, and also she’s going to be talking with people about taxes, some tax tips to help you get prepared for that upcoming tax season.”

Hawkins reminds Guthrie Center residents that the Lunch and Learn programs take place from noon to 1pm on the second Wednesday of each month. The program is free to attend, but registration is required, so that the library knows how much food to get for the light lunch that is served at each Lunch and Learn.
