
The Jayettes took on the Saydel Eagles on the volleyball court last night at Saydel High School. Perry won the head to head vs the Eagles 3 to 1. The Jayettes won the first set in a close one 25-22. They then took a 2-0 set lead after a 25-11 victory in set number 2. Saydel responded with a 25-20 win in the third set. Perry then pulled off the win after defeating the Eagles 25-15 in the 4th set of the match. Senior Maci Tunick had 1.8 kills on the night for the Jayettes. Junior Gabby Orellana led the team in assists as well for Perry.
The win moves to Perry to 8-18 on the season. They remain above Saydel in the Heart of Iowa standings with a 1-3 conference record. The Jayettes will be back at home on Thursday as they will take on West Marshall at Perry High School. The match will begin at 6:30.
