Both boys and girls Perry XC teams will be back in action on Thursday in the Saydel Cross Country Invitational at Saydel High School Stadium. Des Moines Christian, Greene County, Woodward-Granger, Van Meter, and Interstate 35 are among some of the teams that Perry will be competing against in the meet. Perry last participated in their home meet at the Leon Fox Invite at Perry Golf and Country Club. On the girls side of the things,  Lilly Myers led the way for the Jayettes as she finished in 8th place overall in the race, with a time of 20:53. Taryn Nehring was right behind her as she finished in 21st and came across the finish line at 22:17.

For the boys, Yonas Andemichael finished in 6th place overall with an impressive 17:12:60. That is Andemichael’s best time on the season so far. Thad Stewart and Maeble Tekle were the next two guys in line as well, as Stewart finished the race in a time of 19:02:90. Maeble Tekle finished in a time of 19:27:20.
