The Boys and Girls Club of Central Southwest Iowa are having their Harvest Meals fundraiser again this year.

Executive Director Heather Schneider says that they are a non-profit organization, and tries to keep costs at a minimum for members to participate, so they offer several different fundraisers throughout the year. She adds that they decided to start the Harvest Meals fundraiser in 2019, because they wanted to do something for the community as well as gather funds.

Schneider mentions that the Boys and Girls Club offers free delivery of the meals in Adair at 11 and 11:30am, noon and 12:30pm, and in Casey ,only at 12:30pm. Community members, local businesses and farmers are also able to pick up food at the Club as well. Meals cost $10, and will come with a side, cookie/bar and water.

Meals will be provided each Friday in October, with tomorrow’s meal being scalloped potatoes and ham. On October 13th, the meal is brisket mac and cheese, while October 20th’s lunch is tater tot casserole, and on October 27th the meal is chicken and noodles. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go back towards the Club, as they are working on adding a gymnasium to their facility.
