A reminder that on Monday an important birthday is going to be celebrated in Jefferson.
The Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower is turning 57-years-old and the tower will be open for free from 10am-2pm on Monday. The Bell Tower Community Foundation invites local employers to send their employees to the tower that day. There will also be a live concert on the bells from 12:15-12:30pm.
Visitors and residents are encouraged to take pictures while at the bell tower and share them on social media using the #HBD1966 and #experiencejefferson. After Monday, the bell tower will continue to only be open on the weekends from 10am-4pm with a $5 admission for adults and those 18 and younger are admitted free due to the sponsorship of the Victor Zike Trust and Rosalene (Kay) Zike Trust.
