The Perry Jayettes traveled up to Spencer last Tuesday night for their head to head with the Spencer Tigers. The Jayettes fell short in the matchup in the pool as they fell 96-73. Aleah Karolus and Emily Dowd finished in second and third in the 50 M Freestyle with times of 26.94 and 29.49. No one else than Quinn-Mahler Moreno won the 100 M freestyle for Perry as she finished in a time of 57.74. Lilly Riley came in 3rd in the same race with a time of 1:01:43. Perry placed second in the 200 M Freestyle relay as well as they put up a time of 1:48:72 just behind Spencer’s time of 1:48:38.
It was another solid outing by Perry on the season. The loss however drops them to 12-7 on the season. Perry will be back on October 24th for their final meet of the regular season before regionals kicks off. Perry will host a triangular at the McCreary Community Center. The meet will feature both Carroll and Algona. I will provide updates leading up to the meet right here on KDLS and on our website at raccoonvalleyradio.com.
