
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a third suspect for an alleged drug operation.
According to court documents, a deputy arrested 50-year-old Joseph Burchfield of Dana and charged him with three Class D Felonies for two counts of his third or subsequent offense for possession of a controlled substance violation and manufacturing, delivering or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver marijuana; along with an aggravated misdemeanor for keeping premise or vehicle for controlled substances.
The charges stem from an investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office that started on July 12th. A deputy received a tip that Burchfield was allegedly manufacturing methamphetamines in his home in Dana. Court documents show that the drugs were then taken to a home in the Jefferson area and sold to individuals. Three search warrants were executed on August 8th.
The search warrant at Burchfield’s home in the 700 block of S Avenue, where suspected methamphetamine and marijuana were found in his possession. Another search warrant were in the 200 block of Stream Street in Jefferson where 30 firearms, drug paraphernalia and marijuana were found in possession by 39-year-old Eric Rosenow. The final search warrant was at 37-year-old Roger Burnie’s home in the 300 block of East State Street in Jefferson. Deputies found marijuana and prescription drugs.
Burchfield was arrested on Sunday and booked into the Greene County Jail. He was released after posting a $17,000 bond. Rosenow and Burnie have been arrested on their respective charges. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
