The Perry’s Academic, Cultural, & Enrichment Services (P.A.C.E.S.) will be raising funds to keep their lights on after school
P.A.C.E.S. is a program that provides oversight of students and learning before and after school for those in preschool through fifth grade. Director Mary Hillman says they have been a service for the community for the last 24 years and they continue to make it their mission to keep the program affordable for families. Hillman says they will have a “Pledges for P.A.C.E.S.” walk at the high school Kaufman track from 3 to 5pm on November 1st as a fundraiser along with their annual “Lights On Celebration,” from 5 to 6pm on November 2nd at the Perry Elementary School that will have guest speakers, contest, awards and a free will donation supper.
“I always say no donation is too small. I’m going to be doing a $1 challenge to the staff or anyone in the community. People just donated $1. Think what that would add up to. That money goes directly back to serve our families.”
