The Panthers are fully aware that they will be up against runners with more experience tomorrow at their state cross country meet. However, they maintain unwavering trust in their coaches and are committed to putting forth a solid performance while cherishing the experience of competition. Being aware of the fact that the Panther runners are first time state qualifiers coach Greg Thompson had this to say on how him and his assistant coach plan to prepare their athletes, ” just prepare mentally and talk a lot about what it’s going to be like mentally and physically through this race.” Among the other conference teams participating in the event are West Central Valley, ACGC, Des Moines Christian, Madrid, and Earlham, and Van Meter. A strong showing from the West Central Activities Conference (WCAC).

Tomorrow’s cross country state race will feature the Panthers runners, including Kylie Rochholz, Laicey Lutz, and Noah Poldberg. The girls’ race is scheduled to kick off at 2 pm, followed by the boys’ race at 2:45 pm. For those interested in following the event, Raccoon Valley Radio will be providing updates on the results via their Facebook and X (formerly known as Twitter) accounts as soon as they become available.
