The Jefferson Kiwanis Club is hosting a long traditional fundraiser tomorrow.
The 50th Annual Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser is happening at the Greene County High School Commons from 6-11am tomorrow. The menu includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage links and beverages such as coffee, juice and milk. Tickets are $8 for adults, youth from 3-10 years old is $4 and anyone two and younger can eat for free. A carry-option will also be available.
Chair Bill Steussy says this fundraiser is a great thing for Kiwanis to do because it gets the organization in a community setting and is one of their three main fundraisers of the year, which also includes a chicken dinner in the spring and their can redemption program.
Proceeds from the fundraiser goes back to the Kiwanis for community projects and other organizations. Steussy notes some of the programs they support include the Children’s Center with a three year pledge, bicycles and helmets for the fourth graders at Greene County Elementary, the middle school with football jerseys, the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, and scholarships.
Tickets can be purchased from any Jefferson Kiwanian, the Greene County Community Center and at the door.
