The volleyball season for the Jayettes came to an end on October 17th when they fell to the Fort Dodge Dodgers in three straight sets, 3-0, in the Class 4A Region 3 district bracket. It was a season in which Perry finished 11-25 overall and 2-5 in Heart of Iowa conference play. With the season in the books, it’s time for a little senior spotlight of the 5 seniors who the volleyball team graduated this season and the stats they put up in their senior seasons. We begin with Maci Tunink and Kassidy Atwell. For Maci Tunink, she had a pretty stellar senior season for Perry. She led the Jayettes in kills all season long with 133 total throughout the course of the year. That was out of 465 attempts. Kassidy Atwell had a pretty good senior campaign also for the Jayettes. She had 19 kills total on the season, to go along with 25 assists. She appeared in 79 sets for Perry on the season.
Congratulations to both these girls on strong closeouts to their time on the volleyball court for Perry. Stay tuned next time for when I breakdown two more seniors stats from this 2023 team on KDLS and on our website at raccoonvalleyradio.com.
