An organization in Greene County has started its annual fundraising campaign.

RSVP 55+ Volunteer Program is seeking donations of socks and underwear for its Lots of Socks and More Drive. Youth sizes of socks and underwear are needed for the children that not only participate in the Greene County New Opportunities Warm Hearts Clothing Drive and the Christmas Food Baskets, but also to any child that needs those items in the Greene County and Paton-Churdan School Districts.

Donations can be dropped off at any participating business and churches in Jefferson, Rippey, Grand Junction, Scranton, Paton and Churdan, and the six county libraries. Donation boxes are labeled with Lots of Socks and More. Last year over 1,300 items were collected and distributed to less fortunate families and those in need.  

Monetary donations are also accepted and those can be mailed to RSVP Volunteer Program Lots of Socks PO Box 104 in Jefferson. Donations will be accepted until November 19th.
