Drought conditions continue to see slight improvement across the Raccoon Valley Radio area.

According to the US Drought Monitor, Dallas County is still suffering the most in the coverage area, with the majority of the county under a severe drought and the northwest portion is in a moderate drought. Greene and Guthrie counties are mostly in a moderate drought, with the northern edge of Greene County and the southern edge of Guthrie County in a severe drought.

According to the National Weather Service, this past week through Friday morning, Perry recorded 0.22 inches of precipitation, Guthrie Center had 0.20 inches and Jefferson reported 0.09 inches of precipitation.
