This is the second and final day of the Iowa High School Coed State Cross-Country Championships north of Ft. Dodge at Kennedy Park. The final race this afternoon at 2:45 p.m. features Class 3A boys and Greene County junior Noah Hinote is in the field of well over 100 runners. Hinote ran at the 2022 State Meet on the same course, and with Greene County’s move up a class in size for this season, he’s in the 3A field. The 3A boys’ race is the last event of the two-day meet.

Jeff Lamoureux is head coach of the Rams and of his lone qualifier, the coach said, “It’s a huge advantage for Noah having been at State last year and having run on this course. He’s not among the favorites and we know there are several standout runners in 3A, but he’s a competitor. He’s proven that time and again, including the State Qualifying Meet where he came from behind to claim the last qualifying spot. He’ll give everything that he has.”

Raccoon Valley Radio stations will provide updates this afternoon from the State Cross-Country Meet.
