The wait is finally over as Yonas Andemichael raced in the Class 3A Boys Cross Country Championship race on Saturday in Fort Dodge. Andemicheal put up a time of 17:46 in the race, placing him in 110th overall in the race. Remember though that this is out of the top runners in the state. Yonas ran a 5:22 after the first mile in his mile 1 split, he then followed that up with a 5:52 after mile #2. He then slowed down just a little bit in that 3rd mile split as he put up a time of 6:30.3 to make his time at the 17:46 mark.

It was a solid outing from Yonas Andemichael regardless, as he has put up a stellar season all year long. He gave the Bluejays their first appearance in the state meet in a few years.
