Dallas County New Opportunities is participating in an annual program during the holiday season.

Development Center Coordinator Beth Morman tells Raccoon Valley Radio they do Toys for Tots every year.

“There are regulations and rules for that. They have to be in the Perry School District to qualify for Toys for Tots (and) they also have to be LIHEAP (Low Income Heating Energy Assistance Program) approved. So when you come in and you’re approved for the heating assistance program, if you’re interested in signing up the little ones for our Toys for Tots and they live in Perry or go to the Perry School District, they would automatically qualify for our Toys for Tots program.” 

Morman adds they helped about 400 kids last year and the deadline for applications is November 10th at her office at 2816 1st Avenue in Perry. You can call her at 515-465-5185 for more information or any question.
