The Adel Public Library is hosting a couple of special programs coming up soon.
Patron Services Manager Amy Puck says they are having two Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) programs by building lanterns and nightlights. The first program will be on Tuesday, November 4th from 4-5pm for second through fifth graders and the other program is for homeschooled children from first grade and older kids on Thursday, November 6th from 10-11am.
Puck talks about the types of materials that the youngsters will be working with.
“They’re going to be working with different types of paper as well as some electricity just to kind of bring in battery-powered lights. And just come up with different ways in order to create these lanterns and different types of nightlights.”
The first through fifth graders are required to register ahead of time for this free program, while there is no registration for the homeschooled program. Click the link below to sign up.
