A Jefferson woman was arrested and faces multiple drug charges for an alleged drug possession incident.
According to court documents, an investigation began with the Jefferson Police Department on June 13th when an individual agreed to work with an officer to purchase drugs. The individual was using Facebook messenger earlier in the month to set up purchasing marijuana from 40-year-old Rebecca Schubert. The officer provided the individual with $40 and a voice recorder to make the purchase at Schubert’s residence in the 1200 block of 245th Street.
Court documents show that later that day on June 13th, the purchase was made with the money provided by the officer for 3.5 grams of marijuana. The witness also noticed other drug paraphernalia inside the home. A witness statement was given and signed and the alleged drugs were tested and the results were positive for marijuana. An arrest warrant was then issued on October 17th charging Schubert with two Class D Felonies for her third or subsequent offense for possession of a controlled substance violation, three serious misdemeanors for her first offense for possession of marijuana and a simple misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Schubert was arrested on October 31st and was booked into the Greene County Jail. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
