At each of the last school board meetings for the school districts in Guthrie County, certified enrollment numbers were reported.

Panorama Superintendent Kasey Huebner says that the district’s certified enrollment number is 642, and actual enrollment for preschool through 12th grade is 697. Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center Superintendent Josh Rasmussen tells Raccoon Valley Radio that certified enrollment for the AC/GC school district is declining.

“We know that certified, which is the total number of students that are eligible to go to school, was down both in Guthrie Center and Adair – Casey, and we were also down just our served students in both districts. So we’re really taking a look at that and what that means for us, so we’re really looking into those two numbers along with our open enrollment in and out.”

Rasmussen shares that for certified enrollment, the Adair – Casey (AC) district is down 22 students from last year, while the Guthrie Center (GC) district is down five students. He adds that for served enrollment, AC is down 23 and GC is down 16.
