
Dallas Center – Grimes girls volleyball concluded their season last month with a solid 20-13, and were able to able to advance to the regional championship match in 4A in the process. The Mustangs were able to have standout play from many on their roster this past season, and now let’s take a look at some leaders in various statistical categories.
The Mustangs were able to find three different players on their roster with over 175 kills, with freshmen Maggie Leifker leading the way with 198 kills, junior Landry Glasgow right behind her with 194 kills, and senior Anna Cantrell with 183 kills. Freshmen Gwen Farley was strong in her varsity season, putting up a team lead in assists with 700. Senior Addy Janssen led the team in digs with 370, Farley second with 200, and senior Anna Cantrell third with 197.
Leifker was able to lead the team in blocks with 55 and also led the team in aces with 47.
The Mustangs will be graduating six seniors from their roster, and will be returning many key pieces for a 2024 team that is projected to be really good.
