Last Wednesday the AC/GC Chargers volleyball team finished their season.

Head Coach Barb South says that it was a fantastic opportunity to be able to compete in the regional final, and that the team played very well in the postseason, even with being matched up against a tough team in their final game. She mentions that what made it hard to prepare for Dike-New Hartford was the fact that they have the ability to hit the ball all over the court, and have some very talented individuals.

South says that the Chargers served very will, with five members having a 100% serve rate, and the team being successful 21 of 22 times. She mentions that freshman Stella Largent had 6 kills while senior Mersadez Richter had 5, and junior Shay Lemke recorded 11 assists and a block while senior Hayden Coffman tallied 9 digs. South named Coffman, Richter and Jenna Rowley as the Athletes of the Week, giving the seniors a deserving send off in their final season with the Chargers.
