Dallas Center – Grimes boys wresting is gearing up for what should be an intriguing season, as they have a lot of good talent coming back from a team that was able to find some success from a year ago.

The Mustangs graduated eights wrestlers from last years team including Jacob Fistler, who was able to finish 6th in the state tournament at the 3A level, and was one of five graduates that was able to put up at least twenty wins as well.

DCG will have some good talent coming back this year, including sophomore Cole Hemmingson who put up 31 wins from a season ago, and senior Brandon Bain went 24-3, and is expected to headline a very good senior class. Sophomore Blake Forrester is also coming off of a 22 win freshmen campaign, and is hoping to add to that year.

The first practice of the season will be next Monday, as the Mustangs will be hoping to find some success in the 2023-24 season.
