
Tuesday, October 31st
12:26am: Brittany Olson requested an officer at 306 West Reed Street. She reported her adult brother was assaulting everyone in the residence. Officers arrived and spoke to the parties involved. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Joshua Parrish, 27 of Jefferson for, “Domestic Abuse Assault/Impeding Air Flow – D Felony, Domestic Abuse Assault/With Intent to Inflict Serious Injury – Aggravated, and Disorderly Conduct – Simple.”
1:06am: An officer assisted deputies and jail staff with an unruly prisoner.
11:28am: Larry Saddoris reported 4 pay laundry machines had been broken into. Over $100.00 in quarters were taken. All four machines were damaged and need repaired. The officer was provided video of the event and is investigating.
1:16pm: The Greene County Middle School reported one student spitting on another. The school will check with parents to see in anyone is interested in criminal charges.
4:50pm: Dispatch received a 911 Call about a possible fire. The officer went to the residence and found everything to be fine.
5:11pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 300 Block of South Grimmell Road.
5:39pm: Dispatch advised of a 911 Hang Up Call. The officer did not locate anyone needing assistance.
9:24pm: A Traffic Stop near Lincoln Way and Chestnut resulted in Star Gifford of Jefferson being cited for, “Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”
11:26pm: The Wild Rose Casino reported an Intoxicated Driver leaving 777 Wild Rose Lane. The officer spotted the vehicle and followed it several miles out of town. The officer did not witness any infractions of law.
Wednesday, November 1st
8:19am: An Officer performed a traffic stop in the 1600 block of North Grimmell Road. As a result of the traffic Stop, Dana Harrison of Jefferson was issued a citation for “Excessive Speed”
9:14am: An Officer assisted the Department of Human Services with an investigation in the 300 block of North High Street.
1:40pm: An Officer was dispatched to Green Bean Coffee, 202 North Wilson Street for a theft report. The Officer is investigating.
2:18pm: Brooke Venteicher reported two stray dogs running loose in the 200 block of North Olive Street. The Officer located the dogs and determined they came from a residence in the 200 block of North Chestnut Street. The dogs were returned to their owner. A warning was given for them being loose.
4:16pm: Kelsey Reed reported a juvenile male had been assaulted by another juvenile in the 200 block of East Adams Street. The Officer spoke with all involved. It could not be proven the assault took place.
9:25pm: Holly Nelson reported a semi-truck idling in the 100 block of East Wilcox Way. She reported the noise it was making was disturbing the peace. The Officer spoke with the truck’s owner. The Owner turned the vehicle off.
Thursday, November 2nd
12:19am: While on patrol, an Officer found an unsecured business door in the 600 block of North Elm Street. The Officer checked the property and secured the door.
4:00am: An Officer assisted the Greene County Ambulance Service with a medical call in the 1300 block of West Lincoln Way.
7:28am: An Officer performed a traffic stop near the intersection of South Elm Street and Ram Drive. As a result of the traffic stop, Dennis Scheuerman of Jefferson was issued a citation for “Fail to Obey Stop or Yield Sign”.
8:57am: Dan Reinecke reported a vehicle being driven recklessly on 220th Street approaching Jefferson. The Officer looked for the vehicle and did not find it.
8:59am: An Officer performed a traffic stop in the 600 block of East Lincoln Way. As a result of the traffic stop, David Tucker of Ames was issued a citation for “Excessive Speed”.
10:00am: An Employee with AAI reported an abandoned vehicle in the 1800 block of North Elm Street. When the Officer arrived, he was told the vehicle’s owner was found and no assistance was needed.
11:40am: An Officer assisted the Greene County Ambulance crew with a medical call in the 100 block of Ram Drive.
12:36pm: An Officer assisted the Department of Human Services at a residence in the 300 block of North Oak Street.
2:28pm: Micheal Silbaugh reported a property line dispute in the 900 block of East Russell Street. The Officer helped mediate the situation.
3:19pm: The County Attorney’s Office reported a possible Violation of a Protective Order having occurred in the 300 block of South Vine Street. The Officer is investigating.
5:55pm: Adam Choruzek reported a dark colored truck being driven recklessly on 220th Street near M Avenue. The Officer did not locate the vehicle.
7:05pm: Jesus Lopez Jr. reported a dispute over a vehicle he sold and not received full payment for. The Officer advised this would be a civil dispute and he would need to speak with a private attorney.
9:23pm: An anonymous caller requested a welfare check on a female who lived in the 300 block of North Maple Street. The Officer checked on the female and transported her to the Greene County Medical Center ER for treatment.
11:34pm: While on patrol an Officer located a vehicle parked at Kelso Park. The Officer checked on the vehicle and informed the driver, the park closed at 23:00 hours.
Friday, November 3rd
12:49am: A Traffic Stop near 220th and Mulberry Streets resulted in Michelle Cook of Jefferson being cited for, “Operation without Registration and Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”
1:34am: An officer located an Open Door at 600 East Lincoln Way Street. The officer secured the building.
5:40am: A Traffic Stop near 220th and Grimmell Road resulted in Nichole Renshaw of Scranton being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
9:00am: Kenneth Carmichael spoke with an officer about a Civil Issue concerning the sale of an electric scooter.
9:43am: A caller advised of a vehicle parked in a Handicap spot at 508 North Elm Street. The officer spoke to the driver, who had a placard to park there.
12:45pm: The Wild Rose Casino reported a Wanted Male at 777 Wild Rose Lane. The officer checked on the warrant and arrested Anthony Castle on the Calhoun County Arrest Warrant.
2:32pm: The Greene County High School reported a group of students were being threatened and making threats on Snap Chat. The officer advised them to leave the friend group and end contact with the others. Nothing criminal had occurred.
5:18pm: Dispatch advised of a 911 Call from the area of 1308 Ferguson Circle. The officer checked with subjects in the area, but no one needed assistance.
6:21pm: Dispatch advised of an Open 911 Call from 204 West Harrison Street. The subject called and advised it was accidental and did not need assistance.
6:54pm: A caller advised of a Barking Dog in the 300 Block of East Harrison Street. The officer shut the vehicle down in the area for several minutes, but did not hear anything.
Saturday, November 4th
2:22am: A Traffic Stop near 220th and Mulberry Streets resulted in James Timmons of Jefferson being cited for, “Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”
12:33pm: A Traffic Stop near Lincoln Way and Grimmell Road resulted in Lusin Guzman Ordonez of Denison being cited for, “Fail to Have a Valid DL.”
2:36pm: A Traffic Stop near Reed and Maple Streets resulted in Brittany Olson of Jefferson being cited for, “Driving While Suspended.”
1:46pm: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation in the 1500 Block of Hawthorne Lane. The residence was found to be secure.
3:29pm: An officer was called to 609 West Adams Street for a juvenile male, who was out of control and threatening others. The officer arrived and spoke to a group of people present. The juvenile made threats against his mother and others. He then made threats to harm himself. The officer transported the subject to ER to be evaluated. After receiving medical care, the officer placed the 13-year-old juvenile into custody for, “Disorderly Conduct – Simple, Assault – Simple (2 Counts), and Harassment 1st Degree – Aggravated (3 Counts).” The juvenile was later transported by a Juvenile Detention Officer to Eldora. The aforementioned charges were sent to the Juvenile Court.
4:21pm: Hy Vee reported catching female juveniles stealing items from 106 West Washington Street. The officer recovered some of the items from them. Juvenile charges are pending the completion of the investigation.
4:39pm: Sandra Lowrey reported a Stray Dog chasing cars in the 600 Block of West Lincoln Way Street. The officer located the animal and spoke to the owner, who does not live in Jefferson. He advised he would not bring the animal back into town.
5:18pm: The Greene County Medical Center requested an officer at 1000 West Lincoln Way Street for an upset subject yelling at staff members. The subject left on his own and the officer was not needed.
6:46pm: Paul Richardson reported a Stray Dog in the 500 Block of North Cedar Street. The officers did not locate the reported animal.
7:07pm: A caller advised of a Careless Driver on 220th Street, near Mulberry. The officer did not locate the vehicle.
9:33pm: A Traffic stop near Cedar and Clark resulted in Christopher Fujawa of North Liberty being cited for, “Fail to Have a Valid DL.”
10:00pm: Carrie Lindman requested an officer at 777 Wild Rose Lane. The officer arrived and learned that her ex-boyfriend had chased her through the parking lot on foot. He punched and broke out her car window. The officer watched the video of the event and it matched her description of the event. The male later called and spoke to the officer. He admitted to the event. The officer has requested Arrest Warrants for Christopher Craig Edwards, 42 of Carroll for, “Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree – Aggravated and Disorderly Conduct – Simple.”
Sunday, November 5th
12:32am: Wendy Kozal reported a Careless Driver on 220th Street, heading east into Jefferson. The officers did not locate the reported vehicle.
1:01am: The Wild Rose casino reported they ejected an intoxicated subject from 777 Wild Rose Lane. The subject was sitting in his vehicle. The officers arrived and spoke to the subject. Since the vehicle was running, they requested him to do Field Sobriety Testing. The subject advised he would. The officers also requested a PBT Test, which he consented to. The test result was .049 % BAC. The subject was allowed to leave the area.
1:18am: The Wild Rose casino reported an ejected, intoxicated female was driving away from 777 Wild Rose Lane. The officer did not locate the vehicle.
1:19pm: A Traffic Stop was performed near Central and Mulberry. Austin O’Connell of Scranton was issued a citation for, “Driving While Suspended.” During the event, the officer could smell marijuana emitting from the vehicle. During the Probable cause Search, a female passenger handed the officer a smoking device containing marijuana. The officer has requested Arrest Warrants for Charley Ann Dozark, 37 of Jefferson for, “Possession of Controlled Substance/marijuana 1st Offense – Serious and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple.”
12:47pm: A subject turned in a bag of quarters he had found at the Jefferson Car Wash at 902 North Vine Street. The bag can be picked up at the jail if you can identify it.
1:32pm: Logan Woodruff reported a male standing on the overpass, not on the sidewalk. The officers were unable to locate anyone in the area.
3:15pm: A deputy requested an officer to locate a vehicle, which was reported for Careless Driving. The officer performed a Traffic Stop near Wilson and Lincoln Way with the reported vehicle. The subject was fine and the officer spoke to him about his driving.
3:44pm: A Traffic Stop near Locust and Russell Streets resulted in Garrett Rysavy of Jefferson being cited for, “Driving While Suspended.”
4:18pm: An officer performed a Traffic Stop on a vehicle which failed to stop at the stop sign at Elm and Lincoln Way Streets. The officer could smell marijuana emitting from the vehicle. During a Probable Cause Search of the vehicle, the officer located a bag of marijuana and a glass smoking device. Andrew E. Bounds of NE. was arrested and charged with, “Possession of Controlled Substance/ marijuana 1st Offense – Serious and Possession of Drug paraphernalia – Simple.” Bounds was also cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”
6:13pm: Julie Mulder reported her adult brother was walking home from ER, and became disoriented and is lost. The officer located the subject and provided him a ride to his residence in the 500 Block of East Clark Street.
9:00pm: A Traffic Stop near Mulberry and 220th Street resulted in Broc Stream of Churdan being cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”
Monday, November 6th
12:01am: The GCMC ER requested an officer at 1000 West Lincoln Way Street to speak to a patient. The subject wanted to report an Assault, which had occurred in Grand Junction. The officer passed the information to a deputy.
12:45am: Dispatch advised of an Open 911 Call from 611 West Adams Street. The officer checked the residence, but no one was home.
4:52pm: A woman reported (3) Domestic Abuse Assaults against her in the past three years. The officer is investigating.
6:45pm: A Traffic Stop near Wilson and Lincoln Way resulted in Jennifer Guerrero of Des Moines being cited for, “Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”
7:12pm: An officer arrested Michael Molle, 61 of Jefferson at 304 East Washington Street. Molle had an Outstanding Arrest Warrant for, “Probation Violation.”
