The newest class of inductees to the Greene County High School Athletic Hall of Fame has been made public. The Class of 2024 inductees is comprised of five individuals who were State Champions or were named First Team All-State in their respective sports.

Two of the future inductees are 2002 East Greene graduates, and both were two-time first team All-State football players in the eight-player game, in lineman Dustin Fouch and running back Isaac Gannon. David Hagedorn from the Jefferson High School class of 1979 is the Ram wrestling programs’ first State Champion. Nancy Nguyen, from the Jefferson-Scranton class of 1996 was a first team All-State softball catcher for JSPC, and 2018 Greene County HS grad Megan Durbin  was a track & field State Champion and Drake Relays Champion.

On Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, a community reception open to the public will be held from 6-6:45 p.m. in Jefferson in the high school commons area. At 6:45 p.m., those attending move to the auditorium where the inductees will be introduced, and then speak to the audience. On Friday, Feb. 2, 2024 the honorees will be recognized after the girls’ basketball game and before the boys’ game when the Rams host the Saydel (Des Moines) Eagles.
