The Churdan Public Library is hosting an author talk tomorrow.
Abby Jacobsen recently had a book of poems published called, “Swallowed by Smoke.” At a young age, Jacobsen had several things published in contests and in newspapers. She stopped writing for a while, but after a close encounter of almost losing her parents in a drowning incident, she was inspired to write again.
Jacobsen points out the title of the book, “Swallowed by Smoke” is filled with dark times in her life, but at the end of the day she always had something to look forward to. She wants people to know when they read her book that they are not alone when they have their own dark times.
A meet and greet event is taking place at the Churdan Library at 6:30pm tomorrow. It is free and open to the public. The book is available on Amazon, as well as Dog-Eared Books in Ames and Books and Bakery in Carroll.
