The AC/GC Chargers football team may have finished their season in the Class A Quarterfinals, but players are now being recognized for their work during the 2023 Season.
Many of the players were named to All-District Teams for their dedication and hard work, with many earning 1st Team nominations. Junior quarterback Jathan South was named the District MVP, along with being named the 1st Team All-District Offense Utility, while senior lineman Payton Jacobe earned the title of the District Defensive MVP, and was named 1st Team All-District Defensive Line.
Junior lineman Mason Wahl was unanimously named 1st Team All-District Offensive Line, with senior running back Anthony Solorzano coming in as 1st Team All-District Running Back. Another unanimous decision came in naming sophomore lineman Carter Richter to the 1st Team All-District Offensive Line, and fellow sophomore Oliver Wetzel was named 1st Team All-District Kicker.
Junior fullback and lineman Michael Fuller was also unanimously selected, being named to the 1st Team All-District Defensive Line, with senior linebacker Tegan Slaybaugh taking a place as 1st Team All-District Linebacker, along with fellow senior defensive back Nate Chance being named 1st Team All-District Defensive Back.
