The unofficial election results are in for Dallas County.

According to the Secretary of State’s Office, voters in the City of Perry chose Dirk Cavanaugh as its new mayor as he defeated challenger Sir A.W. Adams II with 529-82 votes, respectively. The other contested race for Perry City Council was Ward 3 where Barb Wolling defeated Keith Nichols with 115 votes to 70 votes, respectively. 

As for Perry School Board there were five candidates running for three seats. The winners were Linda Andorf with 476 votes, Joseph Tuhn who had 475 votes and Max Christensen with 427 votes. The other contested race was for Bouton City Council where there were seven candidates running for five seats. The winners were Julie Jensen 28, Jesse James 25, Megan James 24, Elizabeth James 23, Robert Slaughter 22. However, there were 50 write-ins and the breakdown of those write-ins were not available Tuesday evening. 

The special measure for the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School District for a $58 million bond referendum passed with 79-percent of the votes. All results are unofficial until the Dallas County Board of Supervisors canvass the votes at their regular meeting on Tuesday.
